Doctor Who - Asylum of the Daleks

Woooow. That was weird on so many levels. And strangely good in places. Rory was awesome, as always. “What colour? … Sorry, there weren’t any good questions left.”

Also, I’m a little confused now. Firstly, I thought Skaro got destroyed in the Time War? And secondly, Jenna-Louise Coleman is supposed to become the new companion, so there must be some way to de-Dalek-ify her? He can’t just go back in time and pick her up before it all happened, as that would undo all the helping she did in this episode. Aaaaah, brain. Well, we’ll wait and see, then.

Next week looks cool! Dinosaurs and Nefertiti and Lestrade, lol.

By the way, new opening stuff? New logo, new colours in the vortex... Nice, but somehow it made me think they spent the entire special effects budget on next week’s episode... XD

Whaaaaa it was awesome. Despite the Skaro thing and the fact that Donna destroyed all the Daleks and the fact that there are still LOOOOOAAAAAADS of Daleks instead of the few skittle-ones. That didn't matter, because all I thought was: YAY OLD DALEKS!

I'm just happy it's back on tv, whaha XD

Yeah, the Old Skool Daleks were great! Although I did notice some colours in between... but then they did have some coloured ones, right? Or was that just the Cult of Skaro?

Anyway. Bring on next week, yaaay! :D

Well, even if they find a way to de-dalekify her, they also have to find a way to put her back together from a thousand exploded pieces. And another problem is that her character is not from our planet and our now. Which the companions always are, because we as an audience need to have explanations about everything. It is the companion's job to know as little as we do. And Oswin is bound to know a whole lot more. So this is going to be complicated.

Well, there were some who weren't from Earth, like Leela, but then the Doctor had to explain everything anyway because she was basically a savage, lol. On the other hand, Romana was also a Time Lord and (especially Mary Tamm's Romana) proud to be more of a scientific whizz even than the Doctor, so er... Oswin could totally work. We'll have to wait and see :D

Hmm. Do still need to see Old Who :P. But how did that work with Romana then? Did the Doctor just randomly explained things, with her answering "yes sweetie, that was pretty obvious, after all, I was there too"?

You know, I don't actually remember :P I think there were other characters in each episode that required some explaining as a sort of audience, and the rest of the time it was just amusing technobabble and K-9 going "Insufficient data" or blowing up doors XD
